DENVER-- Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker participated in an F-16 ride along with the Air Force Thunderbirds Sunday afternoon at Cheyenne Regional Airport.
The All-Pro NFL player participated in a three hour pre-flight training before taking to the skies for roughly sixty minutes of barrel rolls, and sharp turns, moving as fast as 9g's.
"The lunch stayed down," said Welker. "Trust me there were times where I wanted to pull the bag out but I held strong."
Welker had 10 touchdowns in his first season with the Broncos last season. Denver opens training camp on Wednesday at the Dove Valley practice facility.
