GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Wyndham Championship has already brought thousands of people to the Triad for its 75th anniversary, and it's leaving a good mark on out-of-town guests.

Organizers say, each year, about 80,000 to 90,000 people come to Greensboro for the tournament. The official numbers for this year's tournament haven't been released, but guests have been pleased with their time at Wyndham in the Triad.

Lee and Lorie Warren from Gardner, KS, came to the tournament after watching last year's Wyndham on television. From what they saw and heard about the event, they decided they had to make it to this year's championship.

"We heard [Wyndham] was the party of the PGA," said Lee Warren. [People] were just saying it's laid back, it's got the Margaritaville, it's a great environment, and the Wyndham people are just spectacular."

Wyndham was the couple's first time watching a PGA tour event in person. When they decided it was time to take in their first tour event, they say Greensboro was the first stop to come to mind.

Now, that Warrens have experienced the tournament, the people and the city, they say they'll leave with a good impression.

"It's just been really pretty... everyone's been very nice, and it just felt very welcome," said Lorie Warren.

"Oh, we'll definitely come back to this one if we do another PGA event," said Lee Warren. "The environment is just really what we're after when we look at, you know, spending our money on a vacation."

And, the couple has another reason to be excited about their time in Greensboro. They finished third in the Tropical Wear contest at Wyndham Saturday. Their prize was two free nights at a New York hotel.
