CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Bobcats coach Steve Clifford says center Al Jefferson is doubtful for Game 4 Monday night against the Miami Heat due to a lingering foot injury.

Jefferson, the team's leading scorer and rebounder, has been hobbled since straining the plantar fascia in his left foot in the first quarter of Game 1.He didn't participate in Monday's shootaround.

Clifford says "He's not close to where he was for the other two games."

Clifford said in Game 3 Jefferson's foot got worse as the game progressed and having only one day off in between games didn't help his cause.

Jefferson says he feels as if he's "walking on needles" and "I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone."Miami leads the series 3-0 and can close out the Bobcats with a win.
