Weather Summary:

It was the coldest morning across the Piedmont in three weeks, but now we're focusing on a warm-up. Temperatures will get warmer day by day, eventually getting into the mid and upper 70s by the end of this week. Another cool down will settle in for Easter weekend.

A weak cold front will approach the area from the west for Monday. This front won't have a ton of moisture to work with. Still, a few scattered showers are possible heading into Monday morning, which could make for a damp morning commute for some. Look for these scattered showers to exit the Triad by lunchtime. Drier air moves in to finish the day, and we'll be looking at a sunny and warmer Monday afternoon. Highs will go into the low 60s.

High pressure will build in for Tuesday. Unlike our last air mass, this will be a mild one from the Pacific. Temperatures will be pleasant with morning lows in the 40s and afternoon highs in the upper 60s to near 70.

By Thursday and Friday, we'll have the potential for a few late-day showers and thunderstorms. The storm threat will be especially elevated on Friday.

For Easter weekend we'll find cooler air returning to the Piedmont. Right now, Easter Sunday looks to be sunny, dry and cool with highs around 60.

The normal high is 65, and the normal low is 43.
