Our stubborn cold air "wedge" will finally leave us alone as it exits overnight. Look for sunshine for Monday and Tuesday, with our next chance for rain not coming again until Wednesday.
Cold air moving in from the north has been creating constant clouds, drizzle and occasional rain all weekend. Low pressure will move to the south overnight, finally bringing an end to this stubborn pattern. Still, cool winds from the north will continue bringing in cool and dry air to start the week.
Look for mainly clear skies to start the day on Monday, with full sunshine for the afternoon. Highs will be slow to warm at first, but we'll reach the mid to upper 60s by Monday afternoon and evening. Another sunny day for Tuesday with highs just a bit warmer close to 70 degrees.
An area of low pressure in the Gulf looks likely to track north into the Carolinas by Wednesday. This will increase our clouds, and bring another chilly rain for Wednesday night into Thursday. These two days look cool, cloudy, and damp.
By Friday, we'll see a return to sunshine with a beautiful weekend shaping up. Lots of sunshine with temperatures warming into the mid 70s for Saturday, and near 80 for Sunday.
The normal high is 73, and the normal low is 50.
