Fall-like weather will continue to stay across the Triad throughout the next 7 days. Today will be a little warmer ahead of a cold front which looks to push through the region later in the day. A few showers are possible ahead of this front as it moves through. High pressure will begin to push into the region on Wednesday but the front is forecast to stall out temporarily near the North Carolina coast. This will keep the Triad Cloudy and cool for Wednesday and Thursday with areas of light rain and drizzle. The front will get pushed further offshore on Friday as a stronger area of high pressure ridges down the East Coast. This will bring more sunshine back to the Triad for the weekend. Going into early next week, the next cold front is forecast to approach the Triad bringing a chance of scattered showers on Monday.
Highs will reach the low 80s today but highs are forecast to remain in the 70s for the remainder of the next 7 days. In fact, some locations in the Triad could see highs in the 60s on Wednesday. Lows will drop into the mid 60s Tuesday Night before dropping into the upper 50s through Friday Night. Lows are forecast to return to the low to mid 60s ahead of the next front on Saturday Night and Sunday Night.
Our average high is 80, and our average low is 61.
