High pressure will move off the off the Southeast U.S. coast late today. Developing low pressure will track east out of the Southern Plains and spread a chilly rain over the area for Saturday especially in the afternoon through Saturday night. Yet another area of low pressure will track across the Piedmont Sunday. This will keep a chance of scattered showers around into Sunday afternoon. Dry weather will return Sunday night through Tuesday. Temperatures will remain below normal through the new week.
We will see lots of sunshine across the Piedmont today with a high of 68. A few high clouds may streak in late in the day. Tonight clouds will be on the increase with a low of 46. Saturday will be cloudy with rain developing especially in the afternoon. The rain cooled air will keep high temperatures only in the mid 50's.
