The Bermuda High continues to produce a Southerly wind across the area ahead of a weak cold front. This front may drop temperatures a few degrees for the end of the week but it will remain quite warm. It will lower the humidity levels just a little bit for the middle and end of the week. As a result of the slightly lower humidity levels, thunderstorms will become more isolated for the end of the week.
As we approach the weekend, a stronger cold front is expected to move into the region from the Northwest. This front will likely move through the Triad during the day on Sunday bringing with it a better chance of showers and storms. Much cooler and drier air is forecast to move in behind the front for the early part of next week.
Highs Wednesday through Saturday will remain in the upper 80s to low 90s with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. Highs will drop into the low 80s for the beginning of next week behind the stronger cold front.
Our normal high is 84, and our normal low is 66.
