Weather Summary:

Cold high pressure will build eastward off shore and control Piedmont weather through tomorrow. Low pressure will move out of the Southern Plains and track through the Mid-Atlantic Sunday night and early Monday. Chilly high pressure will build back in for Tuesday before a system brings possible rain for Wednesday afternoon through early Thursday.

Tonight the winds will become light and under a clear sky, temperatures will fall quickly after sunset. The low by Saturday morning will be 20. Saturday will be generally sunny but high clouds will streak in late in the day. The high will reach 46.

As the low pressure approaches, clouds will continue to thicken on Sunday. Much of the day will be dry. Rain chances will increase by sunset. Rain is likely Sunday night and early Monday. The high Sunday will be 48. The low Sunday night will be 40, and the high Monday will be 44. The sky will clear Monday afternoon as colder, drier air arrives. Under a clear sky, the low Monday night will be 20. Tuesday will be mostly sunny and cold with a high of 40. A cold rain is expected late Wednesday. into Thursday. It is too early to determine how or if this system will impact the Piedmont of North Carolina as it could pass farther south of our area.

The normal high is 49, and the normal low is 30.
