Weather Summary:

Developing low pressure will track east out of the Southern Plains and spread a chilly rain over the area today, especially this afternoon and tonight. Yet another area of low pressure will track across the Piedmont Sunday. This will keep a chance of scattered showers around into Sunday afternoon. Dry weather will return Sunday night through Tuesday. Temperatures will remain below normal through the new week. Our next chance of showers will arrive later Wednesday.

The rain cooled air will hold high temperatures in the chilly mid 50's today. We will see periods of rain tonight, especially this evening. Spotty light rain or drizzle and the development of fog is expected after midnight. The low will be 49. As the second system tracks through on Sunday, the sky will be mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of scattered showers. The high will be near 60. Rain will exit the area by Sunday evening and the sky will clear Sunday night. The low will be 43.

Finally dry weather will return to the area for Monday and Tuesday. It will be mostly sunny both days with a high of 66 on Monday and a high near 70 on Tuesday. Our next chance of rain will be Wednesday.

The normal high is 73, and the normal low is 50.
