GREENSBORO, N.C. -- WFMY News 2 and The Greensboro Science Center will provide the general public the opportunity to learn about the enormously dynamic weather patterns that impact the Piedmont Triad.
On Saturday March 22nd join the WFMY News 2 Weather Team, National Weather Service meteorologists, members of local Emergency Management and the Red Cross for an in depth look at our seasonal weather hazards and how to prepare if those hazards threaten you, your family and/or your property. The seminar will offer life-saving techniques and knowledge critical to every household.
Learn from and connect with those who are putting together the forecasts, those issuing the warnings and emergency first responders. Whether you are the life-long weather enthusiast or looking to keep your family safe, you can play a role and contribute to weather awareness in the Triad. Now is the time to be a part of and help grow this community.
The 2 hour seminar will begin at 10:00 A.M on Saturday and is free after admission to The Greensboro Science Center. The Greensboro Science Center is located at 4301 Lawndale Dr, Greensboro, NC 27455.
Cost of admission to the Greensboro Science Center is as follows:
Adults (ages 14 - 64): $12.50
Seniors (ages 65+): $11.50
Children (ages 3 - 13): $11.50
Children 2 and Under: Free
