Weather Summary:


High pressure over coastal New England will continue to funnel moist, chilly air into the Piedmont through tonight. A warm front will move through the area early Sunday. A cold front will cross the Piedmont during the day. High pressure with dry and colder air will build in for late Sunday and early next week. A stronger cold front will move through Tuesday and bring even colder air along with a few flurries Tuesday night.

There are plenty of clouds and fog across the area this morning along with areas of drizzle. Showers will develop late in the day with a high of 47. Showers are likely tonight with temperatures holding nearly steady in the upper 40's. Sunday showers will end early and the sky will become partly sunny with a high of 57.

Dry and cold weather is expected for much of the new week. Highs will be in the low and mid 40's with lows in the mid 20's Monday and Tuesday. Highs Wednesday will be near 38, with the Thursday morning low near 21.

The normal high is 48 and the normal low is 29.
