Severe Weather Exits Triad: Leaves Hail Behind

GREENSBORO, NC -- As quickly as it came, severe weather is leaving the Triad behind. A strong storm system is exiting North Carolina this evening, with beautiful sunshine in store the rest of the weekend.

Severe Thunderstorms were numerous across the Triad Friday afternoon. From large hail the size of golf balls, to damaging winds that snapped trees in half, these storms brought a little bit of everything as they rolled through.

Thankfully, no tornadoes were observed across the Piedmont-Triad, but Eastern North Carolina was not as likely. Several tornadoes were seen east of I-95, from Goldsboro to Greenville to the Virginia border.

Quiet weather will remain with us through Saturday, with high pressure building in. Temperatures will soar to near 80 tomorrow afternoon, making for a beautiful day.
