GREENSBORO, N.C. --
It’s been a long time coming, but we are finally in for cooler and drier air as we head into the work week.
A cold front moved through the area Saturday night, ushering in the nicer weather. The humidity will continue to decrease as we head into the work week. Monday, we'll see mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower 80s.
A secondary cold front will move through on Tuesday. It may squeeze out a few showers & storms, but most locations will stay completely dry.
The main impact from the front will be a reinforcing shot of cooler and drier air. Highs Tuesday will stay in the 70s. Wednesday will be pleasant as well.
All good things must come to an end though. Heat and humidity will build back into the area as we head into the weekend. By Saturday, highs will once again be in the upper 80s with an increased chance of rain. That’ll be our next chance to reach 90° for the first time this year at PTI. Last time we were at 90° was September 24, 2016, over 270 days ago.
