Amanda Ferguson

Amanda Ferguson's work earned her an Emmy in the Sports category from the Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards. Her passion for sports shows in the stories she covers.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Amanda Ferguson is a member of the WFMY News 2 Sports Team. Amanda anchors weekday evenings.

Before arriving in the Triad, she spent two years as a Multimedia Journalist for WVLT in Knoxville, Tennessee where she covered the Vols throughout March Madness.

Prior to that, she spent three years with the Miami Heat basketball team. Her work earned her an Emmy in the Sports category from the Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards.

Amanda was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.

She enjoyed covering the SEC, but she’s thrilled to be back in ACC country and hopes to connect with sports fans who as just as passionate as her.
