The Young And The Restless is created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell. It premiered on March 26, 1973.
It’s been TV’s number one rated daytime drama for the past 29 years.

In 2015, actor Burgess Jenkins, who is from Winston-Salem stopped by the Good Morning Show.
Jenkins who starred as Billy Abbott on The Young and The Restless talked about his starring role on the show. He also was gracious enough to sign autographs while he was here!

- Matthew Ashford, attended North Carolina Schools of the Arts, appeared in “Days of Our Lives” and other soaps.
- Natalia Livingston, attended North Carolina Schools of the Arts, appeared in General Hospital
- Patricia Ann “Patsy” Pease, attended North Carolina Schools of the Arts, most known for her role as Kimberly Brady on “Days of Our Lives”

NATIONAL BLACK THEATRE FESTIVAL
In March of 2017, two names familiar to soap opera fans attended the National Black Theatre Festival in Winston-Salem.
