Tonight: Clear & Cool. Low 51.
Tuesday: Mostly Sunny. High 74.
Wednesday: Mostly Sunny. High 71.
Thursday: Partly Cloudy. high 69.
A dry cold front is forecast to cross the area tonight. This will invite a cooler, drier air mass into the area for the midweek. Tuesday will be a few degrees cooler than Monday. Temperatures will be in the 60s/70s by the afternoon. Then, temperatures will crash into the 40s and low 50s across the area Tuesday night. The coldest air of the week will be on Tuesday night. Wednesday will be even cooler with temperatures in the 70s. Hurricane Ian is forecast to possibly start to impact our weather as early as Thursday. Humidity will gradually increase, winds are forecast to increase and more clouds will likely be around. Thursday should be a dry, cool day. Friday is the day with more rain likely. It will be cool, and muggy with showers as the forecast remnant low is expected to bring rain to our area. The showers will continue through the day on Saturday with much of the same weather.
As Ian exits the area as some of the forecasts suggest, the rain chances lower, and temperatures are forecast to rebound near normal in the 70s for Sunday and Monday. However, there is low confidence in the forecast after Thursday. Ian's forecast continues to shift and change.
Early preps? While any rain or wind for us is still very unclear, you could be proactive and store yard furniture and secure light objects around your house. Also, remove dead limbs from trees. Not only will this help for anything that comes our way later this week, but it will also get you ready for ice this winter.
The normal high is 77, and the normal low is 58.
