Cassidy's Story of Courage: NC Girl Born Without Eyes or Nose Graduates College

"I don't need easy, I just need possible," says Cassidy Hooper.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A southwest Charlotte girl who's had an incredible life journey just reached a new milestone.

WBTV Charlotte has been following the story of Cassidy Hooper for more than a decade. Cassidy is one of only a few people in the world born with no eyes and no nose. She's now 22 and just graduated from Central Piedmont Community College.

On Thursday, Cassidy earned her degree in Associates of Arts.

“I don’t need easy, I just need possible,” is her mantra.

As for where her journey will take her next - Cassidy says she's interested in radio broadcasting, and she's also interested in worship ministry.

For now, she says she's hoping to work at her high school, the Governor Morehead School For The Blind, for the summer.
