SACO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — At Young School in Saco Tuesday, you would have thought you were at the South Pole.
The students and staff were all dressed up as penguins to remember their former schoolmate, Jacob Thompson. The 9-year old, whose story touched people across the globe, died Sunday after battling neuroblastoma for four years.
Jacob’s mother Michelle was at the school Tuesday to hand out penguins – his favorite animal – to each and every class, including Jacob’s.
