HIGH POINT, N.C. — One of the Triad Business Journal’s Fast 50 companies is running in even faster company. High Point-based Creative Snacks announced Monday that it has been acquired by KIND Healthy Snacks, which is headquartered in New York City.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Like Creative Snacks, KIND is a privately held company.

Founded in 2009 by Hilary and Marius Anderson, Creative Snacks was built on a commitment to create better snacks. With 201 employees, the company reported $55 million in revenues in 2018.

“The Creative Snacks team has demonstrated a clear commitment to quality and a unique ability to craft snacks that are both healthy and delicious,” said Daniel Lubetzky, founder and executive chairman of KIND. “We look forward to partnering with Marius and his team to make their award-winning snacks available to more people.”

Operating in a 92,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, Creative Snacks over the past five years has doubled its retail locations from 10,000 to more than 20,000. It has enjoyed a growing presence on the West Coast, as well as on online retail, and the company has most recently added retailers such as Safeway, Aldi, CVS and Sprouts
