RALEIGH, N.C. — Earning a college degree isn't all about finding a high-paying job. But it's certainly a big part of the deal.

That means colleges and universities with graduates earning higher salaries right out of the gate could have an edge when it comes to recruiting top applicants.

A recent study from SmartAsset ranked the North Carolina schools where graduates have the best average starting salaries.
