THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Thomasville-based Old Dominion Freight Line is looking to hire 800 licensed truck drivers over the next three months, according to a report by Triad Business Journal.
The company says the hiring spree is in response to increased demand for deliveries as COVID-19 recovery continues.
All new truck driver hires will be non-union, full-time employees with average annual salaries ranging from $73,000 for pick-up and delivery drivers and $99,000 for line haul drivers. Old Dominion is offering a $5,000 signing bonus for qualified Class A CDL truck driver candidates.
Old Dominion has more than 1,200 jobs currently open, including drivers, dock workers, and clerical positions.
