1,000 Jobs Coming To New Amazon Fulfillment Center In Kernersville

The company said it plans to hire 1,000 full-time employees for its facility which is slated to open in Kernersville by 2020.

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Amazon is planning to bring 1,000 new jobs to its new fulfillment center in Kernersville.

The company said it plans to hire 1,000 full-time employees for its facility which is slated to open in Kernersville by 2020. Employees at the site will pick, pack and ship orders. There will also be opportunities in finance, operations, management, IT, human resources, and safety and security. 

Amazon said it’s “proud to call North Carolina” home and be able to serve customers throughout the Carolinas and surrounding states.

The company already operates two fulfillment centers in Charlotte and Kannapolis which have created 3,000 full-time jobs.

Amazon also plans to open a fulfillment center in Charlotte and another one in Garner in addition to Kernersville.

Amazon said the minimum wage for all employees starts at $15 an hour. Employees will also receive benefits.
