GUILFORD COUNTY, NC - Five schools in northeast Guilford County were briefly without power Monday.

Northeast Guilford High School, Northeast Guilford Middle School, Reedy Fork Elementary School, Madison Elementary School and Brightwood Elementary School all experienced a short power outage.

As of 2:30 p.m., Brightwood was the only school still without power. It's not known what caused the outage.

A notification from Principals were sent out to parents of students.

Both Northeast schools and Madison are in McLeansville. Brightwood and Reedy Fork are in Greensboro.
