Another Buy One, Get One Free Offer At Wet' N Wild Thursday

The Out of the Garden project is holding another buy one, get one free promotion as part of a donation drive Thursday at Wet' n Wild.

GREENSBORO (WFMY) - Rain washed out Wet' n Wild's effort to splash out hunger last week, so they're trying it again this week!

The Out of the Garden project is holding another buy one, get one free promotion as part of a donation drive Thursday at Wet' n Wild.

It's pretty simple, just bring six food items and get a BOGO voucher. The park held the event last Tuesday, but it produced minimal donations due to rainy weather.

Wet' n Wild guests can receive a special buy one ticket-get one free voucher with a donation of at least six non-perishable items to the Out Of The Garden Project at the park's main entrance Thursday, Aug. 9. Volunteers with the Out of the Garden Project will be on site to collect all donations (portable bins & trucks) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Greensboro and High Point are ranked ninth in the country for food insecurity according to Feeding America. Guilford County says more than 67% of its students qualify for free and reduced breakfast and lunch.
