GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Guilford County Sheriff's Office is moving to a new location, after some construction of course.
County commissioners approved a new plan to move the office where the old jail stands today.
Crews will tear down the old jail and the building next door. The project costs about $12 million.
But the original plan had a price tag of about $17 million. So the new plan commissioners approved actually saves the county $5 million.
Construction should be complete by middle of 2021.
