$58,000 Worth of Meth Seized From Surry County Home

Surry County Sheriff's Office seized over a pound of meth, a rifle, and $5,000 in cash from the home of Chelsea Parker.

LOWGAP, N.C. -- Surry County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a woman accused of making and trafficking meth.

Deputies say they searched Chelsea Elizabeth Parker's home in Lowgap on August 9. They found over a pound of meth with a street value of $58,000, as well as baggies of marijuana, almost $5,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia, and a rifle.

Sheriff Jimmy Combs says deputies have been to Parker's home multiple times just this year. He says Parker was arrested in March for alleged drug activity at the home. She posted bond and was released.

Parker was given a $1,005,500 bond this time. She faces the following charges: 1 count felony trafficking meth by manufacturing, 1 count felony trafficking meth by possession, 1 count felony maintaining a drug dwelling, and 1 count misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mount Airy Police and the SBI assisted in the investigation.
