GREENSBORO, N.C. -- An ankle bracelet with GPS connected a Greensboro man to an attempted armed robbery that happened in May.

Greensboro Police say Adam Terrell Parker was arrested by detectives on June 6. Investigators say Parker tried to rob the Scooter Depot on W. Gate City Blvd with a gun.

Police say there was an argument between Parker and the store owner. Other people inside the store said Parker showed a handgun and demanded money after being denied a refund, according to a release.

Police say forensic evidence from the business along with electronic monitoring tracking points placed Parker at the shop at the time of the crime.

A court ordered Parker to wear the tracking bracelet while he is out of jail and waiting for his trial on another matter - he was arrested in December 2016 for possession of firearm by felon and felony carrying a concealed weapon.

Parker is in the Guilford County Jail without bond.
