HIGH POINT, NC (WFMY) -- A fourth shooting was reported in High Point Thursday morning less than two hours after a woman was shot and killed on Franklin Ave. and around the same time, a teenage girl was shot in the foot nearby.
There were no injuries in the fourth shooting, which happened when a home on Bridges Drive was fired into around 5 a.m. Lt. Cheeks with High Point police said the home was also shot into on July 17.
The fourth shooting happened at roughly the same time officers found a 15-year-old girl on Fairview Street with a gunshot to her foot. Police found approximately 35 shell casings in the road in front of the girl's home.
Around 3:30 a.m., A woman was found in the road from a gunshot wound on Franklin Ave. She later died at the hospital. Investigators haven't determined a motive or suspect information. The woman's identity hasn't yet been released.
The first shooting of the four took place at 603 Denny Street at 1:44 am. According to High Point police, the house was fired at leaving three vehicles outside the home hit by bullets. No one was injured.
