GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Police say a man was shot and killed in an apartment home in Greensboro Tuesday evening.

Officers were called to the shooting at Stonesthrow Apartments on S. Holden Road shortly before 5 p.m.

Police say they found a man who had been shot in the chest. Medics tried to save his life, but he died at the scene.

Wednesday morning police identified the man as 22-year-old Brandon Maurice Frye.

Investigators also said Frye may have known the person who killed him.
