LINWOOD, N.C. -- Davidson County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a man who is a registered sex offender for being on the grounds of Churchland Elementary School.
On May 16, deputies got information that 45-year-old Clarence Lee McIntyre Jr. was on the premises of the school, which is in violation of the Sex Offender Registry per North Carolina state law.
Investigators served warrants to McIntyre for being on the premises of a school or child care facility on Thursday.
Back in 1999, McIntyre was arrested for 2 counts of indecent liberties with a minor.
He was taken before a magistrate where he received a $25,000 unsecured bond.
