THOMASVILLE, N.C. (WFMY) – Thomasville Police are investigating after a body was discovered in a culvert.
Police said a truck driver called for help Thursday morning after seeing a body near the Comfort Inn on Lake Road in Thomasville.
Police said that’s where they discovered the body of David Clyde Hughes, 52, of Thomasville in a culvert.
Police are awaiting an autopsy but said the death is not suspicious at this time but they’re still investigating.
