RALEIGH, N.C. — A man has been arrested after he waved a silver machete at a Wake Forest man and yelled "I have something for you" at the same time, officials say.
The incident happened on Thursday in Wake County, according to a Wake County magistrate's order.
Ronald Ford Thomas, 44, of Spruce Street in Winston-Salem, was arrested in the 3000 block of New Bern Avenue in Raleigh, arrest records indicate.
He is charged with communicating threats.
The magistrate's order said, "the threat was made in a manner and under circumstances which would cause a reasonable person to believe the threat was likely to be carried out."
Thomas' next court date is set for Feb. 18 at the Wake County Justice Center.
No other details were provided.
