Winston-Salem teen hospitalized after his face was grazed by bullet outside Hanes Mall

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A teenage boy was grazed by a bullet on his face and was taken to a hospital after a fight Saturday afternoon, according to Winston-Salem police.

Police identified and have three young suspects in custody. None of the suspects face any charges, police said.

The incident happened in the Hanes Mall parking lot.

The shooting started after a fight began between a group of teenagers.

Investigators said the victim was hit by a bullet that bounced off the concrete before grazing the teen on the left side of his face.

Winston-Salem police said the teen is expected to recover.

No arrests have been made.
