Woman Thrown Out Of Car, Shot By Boyfriend In Fuquay-Varina: Police

The suspect, Rayshone McNeil, 31, took off in a black BMW with N.C. license plate of PFF-5192, according to police.

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN) - Authorities in Fuquay-Varina are investigating the shooting of a woman who was also thrown from a vehicle Monday afternoon.

The incident was reported at 5:50 pm at Walapai Drive and Sippihaw Oaks Drive, according to Fuquay-Varina Police Chief Laura Fahnestock.

A 30-year-old woman was tossed out a vehicle and shot in her leg by her boyfriend, police said.

The woman was transported by ambulance from the shooting scene, Wake County officials said.

The suspect, Rayshone McNeil, 31, fled in a black BMW with N.C. license plate of PFF-5192, according to police.

McNeil is possibly headed to Holly Springs or Willow Spring, officials said.

The area where the shooting happened is in a neighborhood north of Judd Parkway and east of N.C. 55.
