Woman Arrested For Fake Bomb Threat at Randolph Co. Courthouse

Investigators say Shannon Spaul called in the threat on June 8 saying "there are two bombs in the Randolph County Courthouse" and that "they will go off."

UPDATE -- Randolph County Sheriff's Office says Shannon Spaul has been taken into custody.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. -- Deputies say a woman is wanted for making a phony bomb threat at the Randolph Co. Courthouse earlier this month.

Randolph Co. Sheriff's Office says Shannon Leigh Spaul is wanted for making a false bomb report to a public building and terrorism.

Deputies believe Spaul called in the threat to 911 on June 8 saying "there are two bombs in the Randolph County Courthouse" and that "they will go off."

The courthouse was evacuated for about two hours while officials searched for explosives.

Deputies say Spaul is 4'11 and has a large tattoo on the side of her neck. If you know where she is, call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 67-CRIME.
