GREENSBORO, N.C. — A new statewide healthcare program could mean fewer hospital visits for you and better health overall.
Blue Cross Blue Sheild is introducing its Blue Premier program which pledges to offer what sounds like performance-based pricing.
Cone Health, Duke University Health System, UNC Health Care, Wake Forest Baptist Health, and WakeMed Health and Hospitals will all be apart of the new partnership with Blue Premier.
The new system means the better the quality of care you get, the lower the cost for the hospital.
If a hospital shows inefficiencies, it'll be charged more by the insurance company.
