Brrrrrr. This past weekend was raw and uncomfortable. And it made us wonder, “Where are the coldest places on earth, where people actually live”? USA TODAY looked at data from 24-7 Wall Street.
The study reviewed the average temperature of the 3 coldest months at more than 2,000 weather stations worldwide. The main stipulation: people had to be living there.
You might imagine Russia, Sweden and Iceland are on the list. (You can see the entire list of course!)
Well, a town just a day's drive from NC made the top 30 as well. Really. Lordstown, OH is a 7.5 hour drive. The average temperature of the three coldest months is 32°!
