GREENSBORO, NC -- One in eight. It's a statistic that many of you know. It's how many women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Early detection is the key to survival and that's why Greensboro Imaging hosts Pink In The Park.

It's the kickoff to Breast Cancer Awareness month in the Triad and this year the event is back at LeBauer Park on Thursday, September 27th from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The event is absolutely free. More than 40 vendors will be there with resource and products for breast cancer prevention and survival.

Money raised through t-shirt sales at the 12th annual event will benefit the Cone Health Mammography Scholarship Fund that pays for life-saving breast cancer scans for women who can't afford them.

The afternoon is full of fun and inspiration with survivor stories, raffles and a memorial ribbon wall.
