CENTRALIA, Ill. – A 15-year-old is in custody after a 13-year-old boy was fatally shot in the head over the weekend in Centralia, Illinois.

Police responded to the 100 block of South Pine around 5:50 a.m. Saturday where a 13-year-old boy was found with a gunshot wound to his head. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on Monday.

On Monday, police arrested a 15-year-old boy for his role in the shooting. No other details have been released.
