14-Year-Old NC Rapper Ray Emmanuel Wants to Carry on MLK's Legacy

Rapper, Ray Emmanuel said, “As soon as I started to get a lot of attention, I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing with it in spreading a positive message.”

14-year-old rapper Ray Emmanuel said he wants to spread a message of positivity.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — He’s only 14-years-old, but his age is a strength when it comes to getting a message of hope across to a crowd!

Ray Emmanuel, who’s a rapper from North Carolina, is an inspiration to many through his lyrics. He was even tapped to perform at a Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Service in Atlanta by Dr. King's daughter, Dr. Bernise King. 

"Dr. Bernise King said that my music was very inspiring to her which meant a lot to being that her father who's one of the most inspirational man like ever," said Ray. 

Ray has been perfecting his rhymes since he started writing poetry at age 7. Rap followed soon thereafter, and he's making sure his rhymes have a positive influence on younger generations. 

“As soon as I started to get a lot of attention, I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing with it in spreading a positive message.”
