NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — Two teenage brothers are dead after a reported shooting at a home in North Richland Hills early Monday morning, police said. Police have arrested a suspect.
Police said officers responded to the report around 6 a.m. in the 5100 block of Gibbons Drive, near Davis Boulevard and 26 Boulevard, where they found the two victims.
According to police, one of the victims died at the scene, while the other died after being transported to a hospital by the fire department.
The two victims were identified as Isaiah Manuel Aponte, 19, and Anthony Aponte, 17, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.
Jesse Lyn Williams, who police said was in a relationship with the mother of the two teens, was arrested Monday night in Fort Worth after a traffic stop and a short foot chase, police said. Williams has since been charged with capital murder and is facing a $2,000,000 bond.
According to police, Williams forced his way into the home and shot the two teens. Police said their mother was not home at the time; she called 911 after she came home less than an hour later and found them shot.
No other information, including a motive, was immediately released as the investigation continues. Police said they believe there is no threat to the general public.
