GREENSBORO, N.C. – We want to thank all of you for bringing your pets out to the 2 Wants To Know ‘2 Protects Your Pet’ event.
Hundreds of pets are now safer because you cared and brought your animals to receive free rabies vaccinations and to microchips.
It's the law for pet owners to vaccinate their cats and dogs. Without it, the county can fine you and they also have the legal right to take your pet away if it bites a human is bitten by a possibly infected animal.
WFMY News 2 along with the Humane Society of the Piedmont and the Piedmont Triad Farmer’s Market helped give 380 rabies shots and 300 microchips. Volunteers with The Brothers of Omega Psi Phi and tech talents also helped to register animals with their new microchips.
We also want to thank Santa who came all the way from the North Pole to pose for holiday pictures with lots of pets.
