FDA Warns Companies Who Sell Pills Claiming To Block Sunburn

The FDA is warning companies that sell pills, claiming to act as sunscreens.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. That foreign prince promising millions if you hand over your bank information? That pop-up claiming you're the millionth visitor? Also fake. And the FDA says claims that taking a pill can protect you from the sun are also fake.

The administration issued formal warnings to several companies selling these pills. They say that not only are the claims misleading and unproven, they could be dangerous. Skin cancer is no joke. And if you're not properly equipped you can become a victim.

Here's a list of all the companies warned: Advanced Skin Brightening Formula, Sunsafe Rx, Solaricare, and Sunergetic. So if you see any of them in a store, you can skip them.
