Improve Your Rider Score On Uber And Lyft

Both Uber and Lyft allow riders and drivers to rate each other. Here's how you can make sure your score stays high.

Uber and Lyft can be convenient ways to get around when you're going out. If you've used either service before, you know that you can rate your driver after every ride. But your driver can also rate you. And if your score is too low, drivers may start ignoring you when you need a ride. USA Today spoke with an expert on how to make sure your score stays health.

Be on time and be respectful. Be where you're supposed to be before your driver gets there. And follow their rules. Don't ask them to go through the drive-thru and don't eat in their car.

Think about tipping your driver. Even if it's only a dollar or two, it's hard for a driver to give a rider who gave them money a bad score.

Don't be obnoxious! Skip that loud call, don't vape or smoke during the ride, don't make a mess in the car and certainly don't leave it behind.

Check your score by clicking the menu app on your Uber app. You'll have to contact Lyft via the app or email to find out. You can also just ask your Lyft driver.
