Baby Still In 'Serious' Condition in Randolph Co. Child Abuse Case

The baby's father, Ryan Thomas Morris, 31, of Franklinville, was arrested and charged with Felony Child Abuse Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A 6-week old baby at the center of a child abuse case is still in "serious" condition, according to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

Court documents say the incident happened overnight from February 14 to February 15.  They say the baby suffers a skull fracture, bleeding on the brain and liver damage.  We're told the baby is being treated at Brenner Children's Hospital. 

The baby's father, Ryan Thomas Morris, 31, of Franklinville, was arrested and charged with Felony Child Abuse Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.

Morris was taken to the Randolph County Detention Center and given a $500,000 Secured Bond.
