Police confirmed someone was arrested in connection with vandalism at Bia's Gourmet Hardware in Asheboro.

ASHEBORO, NC (WFMY) - Asheboro Police say they've arrested a man after catching him breaking windows at Bia's Gourment Hardware Wednesday morning.

Police say they used surveillance techniques to catch Kendrick Loncondo Gibson breaking windows at the restaurant in downtown Asheboro. This is the ninth time the restaurant has been targeted over the past few years.

Earlier this year, there were five different cases of vandalism. Every time, the side windows at the restaurant had been smashed and broken. In 2016, police say the restaurant was hit three other times through the front windows.

Police say they've been able to connect Gibson to five other vandalism cases at Bia's. Gibson, 38, was charged with six counts of Injury to Real Property and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Police are still investigating the other open vandalism cases.

Gibson is at the Randolph County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
