KING, N.C.-- Early Friday morning the Burger King parking lot in King was turned into a crime scene after a man was found dead inside a car.

According to King Police Chief, Paula May, they received a call around 2:00am about a man who appeared to be dead inside a car in the parking lot of a restaurant.

Officers identified the mans as 20-year-old Kenneth Avery Marshall of Briarcreek Road. Marshall was reported missing to the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday by his parents.

The cause of death is currently unknown.

Marshall's body was sent to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem for an autopsy.
