Construction Worker Dies After Getting Pinned By Truck at High Point Work Site

The N.C. Department of Labor is investigating, after 80-year-old Lester Barwick died at a construction site.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A construction worker died after an incident at a site in High Point on Wednesday. 

According to a High Point Police report, the victim was Lester Earl Barwick, 80, from Deep Run, North Carolina.

It happened on Penny Road near Willard Dairy Road. N.C. Department of Labor says the worker was found pinned under an off-road truck, after the truck rolled over his torso. 

They say Barwick was employed by Triangle Grading and Paving. 

N.C. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Division is still investigating what happened.
