Duke Football Team Offers Condolences to Page After Death of Sincere Davis

The Duke football team sent Page a letter, offering condolences after the death of Sincere Davis.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Page High School football team received a thoughtful gesture from the Duke football team recently. 

Duke sent Page a letter, offering condolences after the death of Sincere Davis.

Page coach Jared Rolfes tweeted a picture of the card, thanking Duke. The letter had several signatures at the bottom along with a photo of Davis.

'We were all deeply saddened to learn of the death of Sincere Davis. It is extremely difficult to process the death of such a vibrant and gifted young man. 

Please know the Duke football team will keep Sincere's family and the Page Football family in our thoughts and prayers.'

Davis, 18, was shot on March 2 off of North Elm Street in Greensboro at the Pointe at Irving Park Apartment Homes. He died Tuesday, March 12. Davis was a starting running back for the Pirates and was going to play at Guilford College this year.
