Art And Pet Palooza Benefits LIFESPAN

LIFESPAN'S Art and Pet Palooza empowers children and adults with disabilities and also raises awareness and money for local animal rescue groups.

GREENSBORO, N.C.-- You can support two great causes at one big event, this weekend!

LIFESPAN'S Art and Pet Palooza empowers children and adults with disabilities and also raises awareness and money for local animal rescue groups.

The best part is that the people who LIFESPAN supports are the artists who painted, drew and designed the artwork featured at the show.

Dawn Ashby Caldwell is the LIFESPAN Director of Arts at the MOSAIC LIFESPAN studio in Greensboro. She says this Saturday, you will have the chance to buy some incredible and unique pieces of artwork.

"LIFESPAN supports artists with disabilities and it gives them an opportunity to create, to be with their peers and to build confidence," explained Caldwell. "The artists do all the fabulous art and then we have four local pet adoption agencies that are bringing our four-legged friends. Those folks who are looking for a new member of their family can come out and adopt a pet."

The sale of the artwork benefits the MOSAIC LIFESPAN art studio.

The artists will have handmade pottery for sale, Fourth of July prints and plaques and even feeding stations made from recyclable objects.

"We'll have a variety, so it's not going to be just pet themed art, we will have other things as well. Paintings, drawings, jewelry and it supports the folks that come there, so we're excited," said Caldwell. "We tell everybody to come early because you don't know how long it's going to be there and it goes fast."

You can see and purchase the one of a kind artwork at the third annual LIFESPAN Art and Pet Palooza this Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's at the MOSAIC: LIFESPAN studio located at 2108-C Cheshire Way in Greensboro.

The event is rain or shine.
