Finding Your Green Thumb with the Master Gardener Volunteers

Crystal Mercer from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension joins the Good Morning Show as she recruits for the Master Gardener Program.

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. - It's time to use that green thumb. North Carolina Cooperative Extension is accepting participants for their Master Gardener Volunteer Program.

The purpose of the program is to educate and train volunteers to provide educational assistance and programming to our community on a variety of subjects such as gardening and lawn care.

The program hopes to help the community by helping homeowners make sound horticulture decisions. It also provides homeowners with research-based information.

Once the volunteers are trained the community can call the Master Gardener Infoline for assistant with all things green at 336-641-2424.
