Mount Zion Baptist Church Helps Triad Teachers

Teachers from Guilford County and surrounding areas are welcome to attend. Please bring your teacher ID with you.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Calling all teachers! This event is just for you!

A Greensboro church is hosting a school supply giveaway for teachers on Saturday, August 18, 2018. The Teacher's Warehouse is Mount Zion Baptist Church's way of giving back to people who give so much to Triad students.

The church is handing out everything a teacher would need for school including pens, paper, notebooks, hand sanitizer, Kleenex and more. That's money saved for teachers who normally spend hundreds of dollars on classroom supplies out of pocket.

"The Teacher Warehouse allows Mount Zion to be a blessing to the teachers of Guilford County and surrounding areas," said Bishop Bryan J. Pierce, Sr. "Just as we've done in years past with the backpack drive, the church is doing the same but for teachers who go the extra mile every day to care for Triad children."

The event is Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church which is located at 1301 Alamance Church Road in Greensboro.

Teachers from Guilford County and surrounding areas are welcome to attend. Please bring your teacher ID with you.

While this event is for teachers, Mount Zion is also involved in an ongoing program for Triad youth. The Mentorship Program is sponsored by Bishop Bryan J. Pierce and Frank Hallum, the director of the Steve Harvey Mentorship Program.

The Program brings young males between the ages of 13 and 18 together for guidance, structure and life skills. The targeted home structure are those with young males in a single parent household but all are welcome.
