WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - You can dance and help children in need at the same time.

It's called "Zumba For A Cause."

Shimmie with Jimmie is hosting fun zumba classes across the Triad to raise donations for Backpack Beginnings.

It's a nonprofit that provides food, clothing, and comfort to more than 6,000 children experiencing hunger.

That includes children in 52 Guilford County Schools and 22 Child Assistance Organizations in Guilford, Forsyth, and Alamance Counties.

Jimmie started the "Zumba For A Cause" fundraiser to also help families impacted by the tornado that slammed Guilford County in April.

All you have to do is bring the bag of donations with you to participate in the zumba classes.

The zumba classes are being held at different locations on different days and times.

The classes kicked off on Monday, June 11th at Break'n Out Dance Studio in Greensboro.
