GREENSBORO, N.C. — Nearly two dozen police officers in Guilford County have paid the ultimate price.
Greensboro Police say 23 officers across the county have died in the line of duty since 1913. Their sacrifice will be honored Thursday in Greensboro during National Police Week.
They'll be remembered at Governmental Plaza with a ceremony with several local agencies in attendance.
There will be a multi-agency honor guard, wreath-laying ceremony, and 21-gun salute. The event is free and open to the public.
