The North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) is looking for the driver believed to have killed a Winston-Salem man between Harper Road and the Davie County line.

The NCSHP says Miguel Aquino was driving a Chevy van on I-40 West when he ran off the road and hit a guardrail. He then came back onto the roadway and ran off the road to the right and stopped.

After the crash, Aquino left the van and was hit by an onocoming vehicle and died at the scene, troopers confirm. It's unknown what kind of vehicle hit Aquino, investigators say.
